Woman arrested for leaving child in car

BUFFALO, N.Y. Press release - Erie County Sheriff's Department reports that a 25-year-old woman was arrested when she left her four-month-old child alone in a locked vehicle.

Erie County Sheriff Deputy Tim Ulinger responded to Tops Parking lot on S. Cascade St Springville for a report of a child left alone in a vehicle.

When he arrived he found a four-month-old baby lock in a car. The mother, Jena L. Seneca age 25 of the Town of Brant was located shopping in the store. The child was checked by first aid and was not injured.

Jena Seneca was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child. She was arraigned in the Village of Springville Court and released on her own recognizance.
