JAVA, N.Y. (WIVB) - State Police say a driver with twice the legal BAC slammed his vehicle into the back of a car that was stopped for a school bus on Tuesday.
The two-car crash happened on Curriers Road in the Java, and did not impact the stopped school bus. Police say 42-year-old Christpher J. Solly, of Orangeville, was traveling behind 31-year-old Allisyn E. Eaton, of Sandusky, when she stopped her vehicle for a school bus.
State Police say Solly did not see Eaton stop, and his car struck her vehicle from behind. Eaton sustained injuries and was taken to Wyoming County Community Hospital by ambulance.
According to state police, Solly submitted a .17 percent BAC in a breath test. He was charged with DWI, following too closely and refusal to submit a pre-screen device.
He will answer charged in Arcade Town Court at a later date.
