GREAT VALLEY, N.Y. (WIVB) - Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Deputies say they've made an arrest in a serious weekend accident in Great Valley involving a pedestrian.
Deputies say 22-year old Brooke Kennedy of Salamanca was driving drunk around 2:30 Sunday morning when she hit Jessie George, also of Salamanca, as he was walking toward the city on Route 417.
George suffered severe head trauma and was taken to Olean General Hospital, where he was later picked up by Mercy Flight and taken to ECMC. As of Thursday morning, he was listed in stable condition.
Kennedy was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and Vehicular Assault. She was sent to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail and is due back in court March 14th.
