PEMBROKE, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Rochester attorney in a bizarre case involving 20-year-old Alicia Guastaferro of Williamsville, who once appeared on the reality show "Wife Swap," stood before a judge in Pembroke Tuesday night as the defendant.
State Police say they found 54-year-old James Doyle asleep at the wheel of his car at the Pembroke service area in August with Guastaferro. Tuesday night, the judge dropped the charge of patronizing a prostitute, but Doyle is still accused of DWI and providing alcohol to someone under 21.
His attorney John Peranza said, "We at some point will be arguing those or the balance of the case will be dissolved. But at this point the charge of patronizing a prostitute is now dismissed on its merits."

Doyle is due back in court in February.
