BATAVIA, NY (WIVB) - A Batavia woman has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly giving her 14-year old babysitter bath salts.
Ashley Keene, 24, is accused of introducing the girl to bath salts, showing her how to snort the drugs and allegedly giving her a soda to drink that had bath salts in it.

The incident took place on May 28 and comes at a time that bath salts and other synthetic drugs have become a growing problem in the community. Senator Charles Schumer has called for legislation making bath salts illegal.
