SOUTH DAYTON, N.Y. (WIVB) - State Police say a man they arrested for passing bad checks at a grocery store is also a fugitive from justice, wanted on charges of assault in Maine.
Guy Ricketts of South Dayton was charged with issuing 14 bad checks through May and June at the Super Duper in South Dayton on Tuesday. Troopers conducted a computer check and determined the 33-year-old was wanted by the Portland, Maine Police Department on an assault arrest warrant.
Ricketts is being held in the Cattaraugus County Jail on $10,000 bail and is currently awaiting extradition to Maine.
