GATES, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Buffalo man was arrested in the Rochester-area after a car crash and a foot chase.
At around 10 p.m. Wednesday night, State Police say they stopped 40-year-old Leonard Harrison on Lyell Avenue in the Town of Gates. Troopers say Harrison gave them an invalid driver's license and appeared to be intoxicated.
Harrison allegedly then took off down Lyell as troopers gave chase. Police say he pulled a U-turn and went back down Lyell before crashing into an uninvolved vehicle near the I-390. Police say Harrison didn't give up, and instead took off on foot.
Troopers say they caught Harrison after a brief foot chase and charged him with felony DWI, reckless endangerment, unlawful fleeing, resisting arrest, and numerous vehicle and traffic violations.
