LOCKPOT, N.Y. (WIVB) - A burglar was arrested in Lockport after deputies say the homeowner found him hiding in a detached garage.
The Niagara County Sheriff's Office took 32-year-old Jeremie West into custody around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at a home on Chestnut Ridge Road. Deputies say the homeowner noticed a light on in his detached garage, and when he went to investigate, found West hiding inside.
Deputies say West had removed some items and was preparing to take others. His vehicle was found a little over a block away.
After being arraigned, West was taken to the Niagara County Jail on $2,500 bail.
