Car avoids stop sign and strikes a pole

CARROLL, N.Y. (WIVB) - Crews responded to an accident Sunday morning around 1a.m in the Town of Carroll.

Twenty-year-old William Mattson of Frewsburg was driving on Austin Hill Rd. when he failed to stop for a stop sign.

His vehicle crossed the road and struck a utility pole.

Mattson was taken to WCA Hospital and will appear in court on a later date.
