Le Roy man sentenced for burglary spree

BATAVIA, NY (WIVB) - A Genesee county man convicted of going on a burglary spree, last July was sentenced to 15 years in state prison Thursday in Genesee County Court.
Russell Cessna, 24 of Le Roy, admitted burglarizing 18 houses in a three-week period last summer, including seven on one day.
Cessna must also pay more than $32,000 in restitution to victims of his crime. Houses in Batavia, LeRoy and Stafford were subject to his crime.
This is the second time Cessna was sent to prison for burglary. He served a state prison term for a burglary conviction in 2010 and was on parole at the time of his arrest.
