BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A cold case that came back to haunt a Buffalo man.
59-year-old Hillery Dupleasis faced a retrial and has been convicted of second degree murder. Prosecutors say he killed Robert Robinson during a home invasion on Fillmore Avenue in 1994. Dupleasis remained on the run for years, until DNA evidence led to his arrest.
His original conviction in 2008 was overturned, when a judge mishandled a jury note. Dupleasis will be sentenced in January.
