ATTICA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A former SPCA official, who came under fire in Wyoming County, has avoided jail time.
Janet Foisett received a one-year conditional discharge on Thursday. She used to manage the animal shelter in Attica and was accused of tampering with evidence.
Under the sentence, she must complete community service and is not allowed to take in anymore animals. She and former board president Susan Davila made headlines last year, after a raid at the shelter revealed poor conditions. The facility was also crawling with hundreds of cats.
Davila later passed away.
