JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) - A former cop in Jamestown could face up to a year behind bars.
Eric Corey pleaded guilty to misdemeanor official misconduct on Friday. Initially, prosecutors say he had a hand in the disappearance of prescription painkillers from the police department's evidence room.
The Chautauqua County District Attorney says this may have jeopardized certain cases.
Corey previously turned in his badge and resigned from the force. He now awaits sentencing in April.
