BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A 32-year-old man is charged for the murder of his wife, after she was found dead in the rear bedroom of their house on Andover Avenue, Monday afternoon. Police searched for 32-year-old Antoine D. Mattox after his wife’s death, and Rochester Police found him at a Greyhound Bus Station in Rochester.
Police say Mattox was returned to Buffalo, where he was questioned by homicide detectives. Mattox was charged with second-degree murder, in the death of his wife Nedra E. Thomas- Mattox.
"This was a truly coordinated effort - within our agency between the district officers, Homicide Squad and Sex Offense Squad detectives, as well as communicating the fact that the subject may have fled the area. Rochester officers were able to find the subject, based on his description, and arranged to turn him over to Buffalo detectives", said chief of detectives Dennis J. Richards, in a release from Buffalo Police.
