JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) - Police say a drunk driver was chatting on his cellphone when they pulled him over early Friday evening.
Forty-three-year-old James Bogard was stopped by Jamestown Police on Bemus Street at English Street at 4:13 p.m. Officers say they observed Bogard chatting on his cellphone before pulling him over.
After he was stopped, officers say they quickly determined Bogard was drunk and found he does not have a driver's license. Police say his BAC was almost three times the legal limit.
Bogard is being held in the city jail pending his arraignment on charges of felony DWI, first degree aggravated unlicensed operation, and operating a motor vehicle while using a mobile device.
