MARILLA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A woman is facing multiple charges after deputies say she let her 15-year-old relative drive her car because she was too drunk.

Erie County Sheriff's deputies responded to a rollover accident on Williston Road in the Town of Marilla around 10 p.m. on Monday. Authorities say 35-year-old Amy Cavallaro agreed to take her 15-year-old relative and the relative's friend on a "joy ride," but after realizing she was too drunk to drive, Cavallaro allowed the young teen to drive her car.

Depuites say it wasn't long before the inexperienced driver rolled the car. Cavallaro was taken to ECMC by Mercy Flight for a fractured right shoulder and injuries to her arm. Neither of the juveniles were injured.

Cavallaro is facing multiple charges, including second degree reckless endangerment, acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17 years of age, permitting unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, no seat belt of the front seat passenger 16-years-old or over, back seat passenger age 7-15 with no approved seat belt, and front seat passenger age 7-15 with no approved seat belt.

The Erie County Sheriff's Office informed Child Protective Services about the incident.
