BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A 17-year-old Buffalo man is in police custody and facing murder and attempted murder charges, after a nationwide manhunt .
The District Attorney’s Office says Damone Lewis is accused of fatally shooting Jeremy Thomas on Summer Street, on August 8th. He is also accused of shooting a 15-year-old girl on August 30th, leaving her paralyzed.
The DA's office says, Lewis is in custody without bail. If he is convicted of all the charges, he could face a maximum of 50 years to life in state prison.
