NEWFANE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Two Niagara County residents are facing charges after an underage alcohol enforcement detail Thursday night. The State Liquor Authority, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police performed the detail at 21 convenient stores between 5 and 10 p.m. Thursday.
While 19 stores successfully denied the underage operatives alcohol, two allowed the operatives to purchase alcohol. Police say 18-year-old Justin D. Ferington, an employee of Kenyons on Lockport-Olcott Road, and Addison F. Hatcher, an employee of Valero’s on Saunders Settlement Road, were both arrested. Ferington and Hatcher are charged with unlawfully dealing with a child and prohibited sales.
