JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Jamestown man is under arrest after police say he swung a baseball bat at officers responding to a domestic incident.
Officers say they responded to reports of a verbal domestic incident on East 5th Street around 10 p.m. Wednesday where they were confronted by 35-year old Grant Monroe Jr. They say he swung a bat at an officer and was taken into custody.
Police say they also found a woman in the residence who had an order of protection against Monroe.
He is charged with criminal contempt and attempted assault.
