Cops: man attacked roommate with knife

GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Grand Island man was taken into custody Saturday afternoon after deputies say he attacked his roommate with a knife.
The Erie County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call at 3:20 p.m. After responding and investigating the situation, 20-year-old Sean Riordan was charged with second degree assault, second degree menacing, and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Deputies say Riordan attacked his roommate with a knife. He was being held in the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment.
