BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A four-time convicted felon has been arrested after deputies pulled him over in Buffalo while they say he was driving his two daughters around in his car that had $20,000 worth of cocaine stashed inside.
Jacob Burkhard, 33, of Cheektowaga was stopped at Grider and Delevan Wednesday afternoon around 1 p.m. by Erie County Sheriff's deputies and Buffalo Police officers. He was taken into custody without incident. Detectives describe Burkhard as a major drug supplier. Inside his car, along with his two daughters, a toddler and pre-schooler, deputies say they found around 6 ounces of cocaine and $18,000 in cash. Deputies also say Burkhard had an additional 6 ounces of cocaine on him.
Burkhard had been on the Erie County Sheriff's radar for months. He was released from jail around three months ago and was on parole for drug possession. Now he is charged with felony possession of cocaine and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Burkhard is being held pending his arraignment on Thursday.
