PORTAGEVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - State Police say an Alexander, New York man is facing charges after an incident that happened at Letchworth Pines Bar and Restaurant in Portageville.

Police say 26-year-old Joshua J. Ebersole punched a 25-year-old woman in the stomach during an argument. Police say a 24-year-old man tried to intervene, when Ebersole punched him and head butted him.

Police say Ebersole fled the scene and troopers located him a short time later. He was arrested on assault and harassment charges. He was taken to Wyoming County Jail and will appear in court at a later date.

The 24-year-old man was treated at the scene by EMS personnel.
