DELEVAN, N.Y. (WIVB) - A 21-year-old Delevan man is accused of using a box cutter to cause a laceration on another man’s face and a puncture wound on the man’s upper back. The fight broke out on Mill Street in the Village of Delevan around 7 p.m. Thursday.
State Police say Tyler J. Willis struck a 19-year-old man from Yorkshire with the box cutter. The victim was taken by ambulance the Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, and then taken by Mercy Flight to the Erie County Medical Center. Friday, the victim is listed in stable condition.
Willis was arraigned in Machias Court and remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. He is charged with first-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
