ALBION, N.Y. (WIVB) - Authorities arrested an alleged drug dealer they say tried to swallow 26 bags of crack cocaine after being pulled over in Orleans County.
The Orleans County Major Felony Crime Task Force had been investigating 25-year-old Tyriek Johnson for a month. Authorities pulled the Rochester man over as he traveled on Ingersoll Street near East Bank in the Village of Albion and say Johnson attempted to swallow 26 bags of crack cocaine.
Police were able to seize the drugs as well as $500 in cash. Authorities say Johnson has been selling crack cocaine in the Albion area.
He is charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.
He was taken to the Orleans County Jail on $50,000 bail.
Investigators say more arrests and charges are pending.
