IRVING, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Collins man is facing multiple charges after troopers say he violently attacked his girlfriend.
Davin Lay, 19, allegedly attacked his girlfriend Tuesday morning. Troopers say Lay confronted her after she spent the night at a friend's house. Lay allegedly chased her into a bedroom, pushed her to the ground, grabbed her around the throat, then picked her up and shook her. Police say Lay then dragged the woman into another room, threw her on a bed and then threw her into a wall.
The victim went to a friend's home before going to the Seneca Nation of Indians Marshals' Office, where she reported the assault. She was treated at Lake Shore Hospital for her injuries.
Lay was arrested by State Police and charged with third degree assault, third degree menacing and criminal obstruction of breathing.
