Corrections officer charged in med theft

DANVILLE, NY - A corrections officer at the Steuben County jail has been accused of stealing prescription pain medicine from an inmate medication cart.

Danielle Hill, 31, of Dansville is charged with official misconduct and petit larceny for allegedly snatching a quantity of the drug Tramadol.

She is scheduled to appear in Bath Town Court on Oct. 22 and has been put on administrative leave..
