Councilman due in court for spitting

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - An Amherst councilman accused of spitting on his step-children's grandmother has a new date in court.
Richard Anderson is charged with harassment. Police report he spit at the 71-year-old woman while leaving an event at Nichols School last month.
A bench warrant was issued when Anderson failed to show up for a previous court appearance, but that was later rescinded.
He's due in City Court January 28th.
