AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - A man and his girlfriend have been arrested after Amherst Police say they found a marijuana growing operation in the couple's basement and garage.
Authorities call the moderate-sized growing operation on Buckeye Road sophisticated. Police executed a search warrant Thursday and seized four pounds of marijuana and approximately 36 marijuana plants, each about three feet high.
Homeowner Bobby Paquette, 31, and his girlfriend Kathryn Kempisty, 22, were both arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana.
Police say additional charged are pending.
