LEROY, N.Y. (WIVB) - Police in LeRoy want to know who put four-inch spikes at the bottom of a playground slide.
Two mothers found three of them on Wednesday at the Wildwood Park playground buried halfway in the ground. Police say they've checked all the public playgrounds in LeRoy with metal detectors and have not found any more spikes.
Police believe the spikes came from a pitcher's mound at the neighboring baseball field. Anybody with information is asked to call LeRoy Police at (585) 345-6350.
