ATTICA, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Attica Police are turning to the public for help to see if anyone has information on the person(s) responsible for damaging property at the Upstate Chevrolet Dealer in Attica.

Sometime between 6 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m., Saturday, over 28 new and used vehicles were damaged with rocks through the windows.

Damage is estimated to be over $50-thousand.

The Attica Police Department is reviewing video tape from the dealership and other businesses around the area to identify the perpetrators.

The following caption below was found on an anarchist message board from an anonymous writer:

"Finally after weeks of seeing images of revolt and anti capitalist violence sweeping the globe after weeks of seeing are comrades being subpoenaed before grand jury's and judges we decided to act are small group crept into an unsuspecting low police town outside of Rochester and attacked... Smashing the windshields of well over 20 cars with rocks and stomping out the windshields with are rage... We picked Attica because it houses 1000s of prisoners everyday and is home to one of new yorks largest prisons. This will solve there little investigation..."
