CLARENDON, N.Y. (WIVB) - Two men are facing burglary charges, after an incident in the Town of Clarendon around 5 a.m. Friday.
Orleans County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to Howard Road, for a report of two males in a driveway, attempting to enter a parked vehicle.
When deputies searched the area, they saw two suspects, who were detained and identified as 26-year-old Daniel A. Knittle, of Brockport, and 21-year-old Mitchell Hamlin, of Rochester.
Deputies say both suspects were in possession of several small property items. Deputies say one item was an iPod with the owner’s name on it. The owner was located at a nearby residence and deputies confirmed that their garage had been unlawfully entered and property was taken from the vehicle parked inside.
Knittle and Hamlin are both charged with third-degree burglary and petit larceny.
