BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Batavia Police say DNA evidence connects a man, who is already accused of a church burglary, to two additional church burglaries that happened in July.
Authorities say they stopped 22-year-old John Cabrera, of the City of Batavia, as he was attempting to break into the St. Paul Lutheran Church on July 22nd.
Tuesday, police say DNA links Cabrera to burglaries on July 8th, that happened at the First Baptist Church on East Main Street and St. Mary’s Church on Ellicott Street.
Now, Cabrera is facing additional counts of burglary. On top of these charges, Cabrera is also accused of trying to break out of jail on July 25th.
