JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) - Early Saturday morning, a dog helped alert its owner to a burglary in progress.
Jamestown Police say the West 8th Street resident woke around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday to sounds of the dog growling. The resident found a man in her dining room, rummaging through drawers. After yelling for a neighbor, the suspect took off running through the back door.
Police responded to the scene, and following footprints through the snow, located 21-year-old Terry Kendall, Jr. a short distance away. After the resident positively identified Kendall, police placed him under arrest.
Kendall was taken to the city jail and is charged with second degree burglary.
