COLDSPRING, N.Y. (WIVB) - A southern tier man who has a long history with police is headed to prison for a hit-and-run crash.

A judge sentenced 43-year-old Andrew Hoffman to seven years behind bars Monday for assault, leaving the scene of an accident and driving while ability impaired. He injured three people when he slammed into a parked car in the Town of Coldspring last year.

In 1996, Hoffman killed two elderly people while driving drunk - that conviction was overturned on a technicality.
