NEWSTEAD, N.Y. (WIVB) - Erie County Sheriff's made two DWI arrests overnight in Newstead and the Town of Wales.
The first case took place Friday at 11:00 p.m. when Glen Allen, 49, of Blasdell was stopped for crossing over the center line, driving into the oncoming lane. Allen was determined to be intoxicated and taken into custody. He provided a breath test reading .17% at the Erie County Sheriff's Clarence Substation where he was later released from on uniform tickets.
The second incident involves 41-year-old Darin Baron of Freedom who was involved in an accident in Wales around 1:40 a.m. Saturday. Baron was determined to be intoxicated at the time of the accident causing him to fail field sobriety tests. He was arrested and taken to the Erie County Sheriff's Elma where he took a chemical breath test revealing .17%. He was released on uniform traffic tickets.
