ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - A body found at the bottom of a ravine in an upstate New York park is that of a 73-year-old college professor who police believe was shot and killed in a robbery.
Rochester Police say they have a person of interest in custody in the death of Edline Chun.
The Rochester Institute of Technology says Chun taught in the College of Imaging Arts and Sciences for nearly 20 years.
"If anyone does have information, we would appreciate it," said Rochester Police Chief Jim Sheppard. "Like I said, our investigation does continue. We're not saying that it is complete. And if there's anyone who has information or knowledge or something that we can follow up on we would appreciate it."
Her body was found by a Monroe County maintenance worker Wednesday afternoon in Tryon Park, on Rochester's eastern city limits.
Chief Sheppard says Chun's vehicle had been stolen before her death but he says it's unclear when she was killed.
Police haven't released the name of the person of interest.
