BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A former New York State trooper who was fired after being arrested over a prostitution scandal pleaded guilty in court on Monday.

Titus Taggart, 42, of Buffalo pleaded guilty to one count of fourth degree promoting prostitution. Prosecutors say the former trooper, who was with the State Police for 18 years, organized parties while off-duty and arranged to have prostitutes present who would provide sexual services for money.

Taggart admitted advancing prostitution at one particular party held at the New Brotherhood Motorcycle Club on November 12, 2011.

When he is sentenced in March, Taggart could face one year behind bars.
