HARTLAND, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Niagara County father and son have been sentenced for growing marijuana in their Town of Hartland barn.
Prosecutors say 51-year-old William Pippard and his son, 29-year-old Robert Pippard, had close to 100 marijuana plants in a barn with a sophisticated lighting and irrigation system. When the home was raided, authorities also found prescription pills, packaged marijuana, hashish, scales, and a firearm.
William Pippard will spend six months in a halfway house and serve six months home detention. His son will spend one year in prison.
