BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A pharmacy student attending St. John Fisher College is in custody, accused of selling drugs out of an ice cream truck in Cheektowaga this summer.
Abraham Reinhardt of Clarence was arrested in the parking lot of the Home Deport in Batavia. Federal prosecutors say the 23-year-old was about to sell 80 oxymorphone tablets, a quantity of marijuana and hallucinogenic mushrooms when he was taken into custody.
After his arrest, agents raided Reinhardt's home on Elmwood Avenue in Rochester where they say they found more pills, marijuana and hallucinogenic mushrooms. Investigators say they determined Reinhardt had sold marijuana and hallucinogenic mushrooms out of an ice cream truck in Cheektowaga during the summer months.
Reinhardt appeared in court Thursday to answer charges of possession with intent to distribute. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in jail.
Reinhardt will next appear in court for a preliminary hearing on December 4.
