BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A felon who tried to toss away his gun while being chased by police couldn't ditch the DNA evidence left on the weapon.
Marcus Adside, 24, of Buffalo was sentenced to three years and one month in jail on Wednesday. Adside, a convicted felon, was caught in November 2010 with a weapon. Police gave chase and Adside tossed away the gun, but DNA linked the weapon to Adside, who was found guilty of being a felony in possession of a firearm.
Adside will have two years of supervised release after serving his sentence.
