WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A former long-term substitute teacher admitted Monday to making and possessing child pornography.
Prosecutors say 25-year-old Timothy Bek of West Seneca admitted posing as a teen girl on a social networking website, contacting underage victims - some students he taught - and persuading the victims to send him explicit photos and videos. The images were sometimes sent over the internet and other times through text messaging. The FBI says Bek utilized Facebook and at least three of the victims were his former students.
The images were found by authorities while they investigated Timothy's brother, Jason, who pleaded guilty in December to coercion and enticement of a minor. Jason will be sentenced in April.
Timothy will be sentenced in May. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in jail and a maximum sentence of life in prison.
