RANDOLPH, N.Y. (WIVB) - The four people who tried to rob a drug dealer, but instead broke into a home with a family inside, will each spend the next 20 years behind bars.
In November of 2011, 23-year-old D'Allyn Washington, 22-year-old Derrick Williams, 25-year-old Samuel Rodriguez, and 19-year-old Cameron Rives broke into a home in the Town of Randolph. They pistol whipped the husband, tied up his wife with duct tape and a shoe lace, and ransacked the home, stealing cell phones, cash, wallets, and a flat screen TV.
Cattaraugus County Sheriff's deputies arrested the four, who all come from Jamestown, days later. On Monday, each was sentenced to 20 years in jail for first degree burglary. Authorities say the four thought they were robbing a drug dealer when they broke into the couple's home.
