AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - Four teens are under arrest after Amherst Police found a stash of stolen electronics in their vehicle.
Around 5 a.m. Sunday morning, officers were called to Park Club Lane on reports of someone breaking into parked cars. While responding, police spotted a vehicle matching a description they had been given and pulled it over on North Forest Road.
Inside, police say four teens, two 17-year-olds and two 18-year-olds, had a large stash of electronics they had acquired by breaking into cars throughout the night. Nineteen GPS units, three radar detectors, two iPods, money left inside vehicles, and other miscellaneous items were recovered.
All four have been charged with fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property and sixth degree conspiracy. Police did not release their names.
Several items remain unclaimed. If your car was broken into on Sunday, call the Amherst Police Department at 689-1337 to find out if your property was recovered.
