CLYMER, N.Y. (WIVB) - The case against a Virginia man charged with murdering the superintendent of Clymer schools is moving forward.
A Virginia judge has set December 21 as the date for Anthony Taglianetti's extradition hearing. Prosecutors say the married father of four drove more than six hours in September to gun down Keith Reed, Jr. in Cylmer, then drove back to his home state where he was captured several days later.
Chautauqua County District Attorney David Foley said, "The extradition proceeding is .. there's a low standard of proof which is required. We believe we've supplied enough information to meet that standard of proof and that Mr. Taglianetti will be extradited."
Police believe Taglianetti shot Reed because he believed Reed was having an affair with his wife.
