BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A woman known as “the Hugging Bandit” is being arraigned in Erie County Court Thursday.
The District Attorney’s Office says 54-year-old Myra Castleberry, of Buffalo, will be arraigned after allegedly stealing a man’s wallet in July. Castleberry allegedly stole a wallet from a 35-year-old man while he negotiated a cab fare, near the Jim’s Steakout on Allen Street and Elmwood Avenue.

If convicted of fourth-degree grand larceny, Castleberry could face a maximum prison sentence of two to four years behind bars.
