BLISS, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Bliss man is accused of firing a shotgun round at a residence in the Town of Gainesville, around 11:45 a.m. on Thanksgiving. New York State Police say 33-year-old Christopher M. Horner was with a hunting party that was firing multiple rounds at a deer, and one of Horner’s rounds struck a house.

Police say Horner has a prior felony conviction, which means he isn’t allowed to possess the 12 gauge shotgun that was used in this incident. In addition, Horner is also accused of failing to properly accompany a 14-year-old hunter.
Horner was charged with two misdemeanors, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and second-degree reckless endangerment. He was later released on tickets to appear in the Gainesville Town Court at a later date.
