RANDOLPH, N.Y. (WIVB) - The hunter who fired the bullet into the school bus full of children has been found guilty on all counts.
On Tuesday, a jury convicted William Donald Squire of criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, and environmental conservation charges. Squire fired his gun across a highway and struck a Randolph school bus back in November.
Defense attorney Linda Lovell said, "It's upsetting to me because the evidence just wasn't there. The ballistics didn't match. The police hadn't got the video of the recording of the bus. That video shows there was absolutely no way the bus was at that location when it was shot."
Squire will be sentenced in September.
