ALDEN, N.Y. (WIVB) - Former Alden High School teacher, Gerald Wild, admitted he sent inappropriate messages to a 16-year-old student on Friday.

The 46-year-old former social studies teacher pleaded guilty to Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He sent several “instant messages” that were sexual in nature to the student.

Wild will have to surrender his teaching certificate and could receive up to a year behind bars when he is sentenced.
