BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A teenager charged with murdering a fellow inmate at the Erie County Holding Center faced arraignment Monday morning. Ball is now charged with second-degree murder.
Nineteen-year-old Tyshawn Ball is accused of beating 49-year-old Patrick Yake into a coma back in June. Yale later died at the hospital.
The incident happened in a common area, just days after Ball was arrested on arson and assault charges. The victim allegedly violated his parole, after serving time for molesting a seven-year-old boy.
