LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Niagara County judge is expected to make a ruling by next week about the lawyer of a man accused of shooting a two year old in the face.

Willie Scott, 32, pleaded not guilty to assault . His lawyer Angelo Musitano has previously represented the mother of the baby he’s accused of shooting. Prosecutors are asking for Musitano to be removed from the case.

Police say Scott drove by a busy convenience store on 17th Street in Niagara Falls in the middle of the day, spraying bullets.

Two-year-old J’raeona Moore was hit twice in the face. Moore, now three, spent weeks in the hospital but is now home.
